We loaded up and went to town for the BIG firework show! We took our big quilt, cooler, watermelon and an ......umbrella. The last item I never dreamed we would really need, in fact I stuck it in the van in case the SUN was too hot on the girls. Didn't have to worry about sun or being too hot! We never move fast when we are going somewhere....we had double stroller, cooler, quilt and our chairs. Daddy, 5 month pregnant mom and 7 yr. old Will trying to lug all of this stuff for what seemed like miles to finally find the perfect place to set up our "spot". I mean it was perfect, right up front, very near to the stage where our local symphony was going to play, near the snacks and inflatable slides. We were set.....until the sky got sooooo dark and it began. The rain, well it sprinkled and then seemed to clear off and we thought we were good. And then the bottom fell out but not before we enjoyed our watermelon. We thought the girls would just have bite or two, but NO they insisted on having their own! (Independent Day) The symphony was rained out, but they did have the fireworks. By the time we made it to the car, there wasn't a dry fiber on any of us. We had to wait about thirty minutes once we got in the car for the fireworks to start and we had no idea which way to move our car to have the best view. And then they started and I mean it was like they we right above us, they were beautiful and it was the best show I think I have ever seen! Jillian "sang" through the entire show and Lillybeth "freaked" through the entire show! They are so different. And of course the Will loved it! We were frozen by the time we got home! But everyone slept well!
